How Do I Create an AddressWise Shortcut on the Windows Desktop?
The easiest way to create a Shortcut on the Windows Desktop is to click the right mouse button over the desktop to bring up the Desktop menu.
Select New and then Shortcut, before clicking the mouse to bring up the Create Shortcut dialog.
Note how the Browse button has been used to locate the AddressWise program, AdWise10.Exe in the default directory, C:\ECAC\.
Clicking Next allows the user to set a name for the icon.
Note how AddressWise 1.00 has been entered by the user.
Click Finish to create the icon and place it on the Windows Desktop.
How Do I Start AddressWise?
There are two main methods of starting AddressWise; from the Start Program Menu or from the Desktop. The latter needs the Creation of an AddressWise Shortcut on the Windows Desktop.
How Do I Start AddressWise from the Desktop?
In the first instance, you must locate the AddressWise Shortcut on the Desktop.
Double-click the AddressWise Shortcut to start the program.
The AddressWise Start Dialog should appear. It is shown below in its more detailed form.
Click Less to obtain the smaller dialog.
To Write Letters, Send Faxes or E-Mails, Print Labels etc., select the required Phone Book from the list and then click Edit, Print Use Phone Book.
How Do I Start AddressWise from the Start Program Menu?
Locate the AddressWise Icon in the Start Program Menu.
Start AddressWise in the normal way.
