Journeys

This Daisy Chart was produced using the drawing template, journey.dyt, using the data file, journey.txt, supplied with all versions of Daisy. It shows various deliveries done by a courier company.
The data has been analysed into four sets of nodes, each of which is shown as an arc of the circular Daisy Chart. These are the Driver, the From and To, and the Vehicle Registration Number.
Two histograms are shown on each node; the number of journeys, violet and the average fuel consumption, blue.
The lines of links between the nodes show the relative strengths of the connections between nodes. In this Daisy Chart, they are shown in terms of the number of journeys.
This Daisy Chart is based on a real example although the data is completely different. A haulage company felt that some of their journeys were using too much fuel and that an employee was removing diesel from a truck. In the end it turned out, that the distance to Liverpool had been entered twenty miles too short!
