Daisy Analysis Financial Analysis - Holding the Data

Back

The heart of the Daisy Analysis Financial Analysis system is a simple data warehouse, which is used to hold transaction data and account and other profiles :-
  • For small to medium sized companies the warehouse is held in Microsoft Access 2000. For larger systems a conventional SQL warehouse can be used.

  • A version of the software is also available, that works with a proprietary Banking Reporting System.

  • Upload to the warehouse can be either through simple files or a conventional ADO connection. The latter is Microsoft's one-size fits all data access.

  • Transactions can be archived in the warehouse in separate tables, for all, yearly, monthly, weekly or even daily data.

  • The warehouse has been designed in a simple open structure, so that it can be used for other purposes, by the user. The layout is published.

  • For smaller databases, with the growth of laptops, it is possible to store the warehouse on a machine with a hard disc of say 10 Gb.

  • As the small warehouse is only one large file, it can be easily saved and archived for security.
