Keep your graphics as small and simple as possible and always store them as a Gif or a JPeg image. Compress and re-Use them as often as you can.

Usually, keep Gif for small images and use JPeg, where the image is large. Although, this is often a matter of what is best for the image and for your Web Site.

Don't use complicated and extensive graphics. They will make your Web Site cluttered and slow.

Don't use different graphics on each page. Try and re-use as many as your graphics files as possible.

Graphics can be scanned, created with Microsoft Paint or other programs, captured from the screen or generated using a program, such as bmpGalore.

If you need to convert images, then one of the easiest graphic conversion programs is the Microsoft Photo Editor supplied with Office 97.
