Tomorrow's World

E-mail is the lifeblood of the Internet.

But do you use it as efficiently and effectively as you should?

It may seem strange to discuss e-mail after spam, but then I am assuming that you know the basics of e-mail and can send and receive messages. So probably spam is now the biggest problem you have with e-mail. If you don't your system has been setup well! Or you've just been lucky!

It's probably best to state the rules of best practice for e-mail :-

  • Write an e-mail as you would any letter. Don't be sloppy!

  • Reply to an e-mail enclosing the original text. That way each e-mail will be a complete record of the conversation.

  • Use a signature as then the recipient and any mail filters will know who you are.

  • Remember that e-mails are sent immediately you click Send. So check the message and who you are sending it to first.

In this section, I will detail a few ideas that may help you and your company or organisation work better and more efficiently, through the use of e-mail and related systems.
