The list of Names and Addresses is shown on the left, with the Current Record in the middle and the various action command buttons to the right.

How Can I Change the List Order?

How to do this is described in Setting Up AddressWise.

You can also do this by clicking the right mouse button over the list and bringing up the popup menu.

How Can I Locate a Particular Name and Address?

Suppose you want to locate James Miller in the Phone Book.

If the records are in Name/Company order you can select the list with the mouse and then type James. This will move the list to all the James', from where you select the required one, with Next and Previous. Similarly, if the list is in Last Name/Company order, you would type Miller.

You can also use Find Record command to locate any string in the Phone Book.

Note the check box, which selects data in any field in the record. Otherwise only the list is searched.

Note that you can also use the right mouse button menu of the list, to change the list order or to go to the first or last record in the list.

How Do I Add a New Name and Address?

Click the Add New button and a new record will be created.

It will be given a Name of New..., which should be changed to the correct name.

Note that it is advised that the field Name is always set, as FaxWise needs this field to have a value.

How Do I Copy the Current Name and Address to another Phone Book?

Select the record to be duplicated and then use the Copy Record button

Click Copy to Another Phone Book to make a duplicate Name and Address in another Phone Book, which is selected from a dialog box.

How Do I Delete the Current Name and Address?

Use the Delete Record button and answer Yes to the check question.

Note that once a record has been deleted, it can't be recovered.

How Do I Duplicate the Current Name and Address?

Select the record to be duplicated and then use the Copy Record button

Duplicate Record

Click Duplicate Current Record to create a second copy of the current record, which is then edited in the normal way.

Note that both records can have exactly the same Name and Company.

How Do I Edit the Current Name and Address?

Just change the field values as required.

Note that data is stored immediately into the FaxWise/Address Phone Book.

If more than a few Extra Fields have been added to the Phone Book, then you can use the Edit Full Record to edit those fields not shown in the main Edit, Print, Use Phone Book dialog.

How Do I Move the Current Name and Address to another Phone Book?

Select the record to be duplicated and then use the Copy Record button

Click Move to Another Phone Book to move the Name and Address to another Phone Book, which is selected from a dialog box.

How Do I Send an E-Mail?

Click the Send E-Mail button and fill in the Subject and Message before clicking Send.

Click the Send Fax button and fill in the Subject and Message before clicking Fax.

How Do I Write a Compliments Slip?

Click the Write Others button, select Simple Compliments Slip before clicking Write.

Click the Write Letter button and fill in the Subject and Message before clicking Write.

How Many Names and Addresses can be Stored?

30,000.

Note that is an imposed limit and if you need to store more, then send us an E-Mail!
