Review Format

Each country review follows a fixed format of three main sections :-

• Introduction and Editorial
  
  This depends very much on the country concerned. Some such as that for Burma concentrate on the political situation and others put the economy first.

• Country Profile
  
  This is similar for each country and contains a series of reports.
  
  Typically, for a major country these include history, political structure, education, health, welfare, languages, media, economy, external trade, agriculture, industry and manufacturing, tourism, environment, mining, hydrocarbons, energy, banking and insurance, time, geography, climate, dress code, entry requirements, hotels, credit cards, public holidays, working hours, telecommunications, electricity supply, weights and measures, social customs/useful tips, security and travel.

• Business Directory
  
  Sections included include telephone area codes, useful numbers, Chambers of Commerce, banking, travel information, ministries, addresses and internet sites.

A map and tables of key facts and indicators are also shown.
