Nothing has been said about one of the most important factors of any Internet Service Provider.

How fast is the connection and the associated hardware at the other end of the phone line? Do you spend all of your time waiting?

Remember the longer you are connected, the greater the cost of the phone call!

As you understand the Internet more and more, the speed, or rather the lack of it, of certain ISPs will start to increasingly annoy you. For this reason, if you have any worries about the speed of the ISP, then try another.

A good test of your ISP's speed, is to connect to say a Web Site like the BBC at http://www.bbc.co.uk, and time how long it takes to download the first page. Do this several times, perhaps at different times of the day and make a note of the times.

If one of the ISPs, takes a significantly longer time than the others, then put it aside.
